ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - After torrential rain earlier today we stand the chance to see a few strong to severe storms in the overnight hours. North Georgia has been downgraded from a level 2 to a level 1 risk for severe storms, but the likely hood still exists for 1 or 2 storms to produce damaging winds. The best timing will be between midnight and sunrise Sunday morning.
Once the rain tapers off early Sunday sunshine will return for the afternoon along with warmer temperatures. Much of north Georgia will see highs in the low to mid 70's!
