LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Nevada teacher who goes the distance for her students is now heading all the way to the Super Bowl.
The Dairy Council of Nevada and the NFL's Fuel Up to Play 60 program gave Ada Feliciano an all-expenses paid trip to Atlanta and two tickets to see the big game, all for keeping students active.
They also awarded the second grade teacher with $3,000.
Feliciano says she combines warm-up exercises with dancing to improve students' health and self esteem.
"I like to help students early on in primary school so that they are able to know that they are in control of what they do for themselves," she said.
The teacher said the award warmed her heart.
"It makes me emotional because I am doing what I love," she said.
More then 700 Nevada schools have joined the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
