ATLANTA - Atlanta could set two weather-related records Saturday.
The first being the record “low max,” meaning it’s the warmest low temperature on this day. The second is the possibility of record high temperatures. If Atlanta reaches 88 degrees, that would tie the records from 2016 and 1894.
Since we have the possibility of record heat today, it’s a good time to refresh your memory on heat safety tips. Try to avoid excessive activity during the heat of the day and take frequent breaks. Drink plenty of water, so you stay hydrated throughout the day. Most importantly as you make errands around town, remember to check the backseat for you loved ones like small children and pets.
The unseasonably warm temperatures will continue through the middle of next week before cooler temperatures return by the end of the week.
