Windows of several vehicles shot out in Paulding County
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office wants to know who fired randomly fired shot into parked cars in the middle of the night.
Kristina Thursby says her husband left for work early Thursday and found the rear of his car shattered. She called the sheriff's office.

Sheraton Atlanta will remained closed until Aug. 11, managers say
Mangers at the Sheraton Atlanta hotel in downtown Atlanta said Friday their doors will remain closed for about three weeks. This after several people who stayed at the hotel contracted confirmed cases of Legionnaires' disease, health officials revealed earlier this week.
Three confirmed cases were reported Monday with the number rising to six by Wednesday, health officials reported. The common link is they all stayed at the hotel. This prompted hotel managers to immediately relocate more than 450 guests and rebook future reservations.
Manager have since said the hotel will be closed to guests until August 11. Anyone with a reservation will be booked into another nearby hotel.Read the full article

Child, father rescued from Lake Lanier dies
Officials said the father and son who had to be rescued from the waters of Lake Lanier last week have died.
The 30-year-old father, Libao, and 9-year-old son, Ethan Chen, were spending the day at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands on July 11. Around 2:50 p.m., Hall County Fire Services said the father noticed his son had not resurfaced and went into the lake to find him. Officials said Libao also went underwater.
A lifeguard located the boy and started first aid. Libao was also located by a lifeguard and pulled from the water.Read the full article
