ATLANTA - Plenty of rain is on the way through the end of the work week, and that is creating concern for possible flash flooding as the week goes on.
A Flash Flood Watch is posted until 8 a.m. Friday. Between now and Friday morning, many parts of north Georgia can expect between one to two inches of rain, with isolated higher amounts near three inches.
Unlike Wednesday, we are not expecting any severe thunderstorms. However, given how saturated the ground is, even sub-severe thunderstorms could bring down trees.
We will return to a more seasonal weather pattern over the weekend, but between now and then, multiple rounds of storms with unseasonably cool temperatures will remain in the forecast.
