Pop music superstar Prince was been found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis on April 21, 2016. The 57-year-old "Purple Rain" artist's death came a week after his tour plane made an emergency landing in Illinois, where he was hospitalized with what was described as the flu. That illness followed his cancelling a pair of concerts in Atlanta.
On social media, a slew celebrities tweeted their shock over Prince's passing and shared fond memories.
