APS Back to School Bash

Join Atlanta Public Schools and FOX 5 Helping Hands for the 2nd Annual Back-to-School Bash, as we prepare APS students for day one on August 3. This free event is exclusively for APS students and their families with over 50 exhibitors, fun activities for children, free health screenings, educational, after-school and community resources. Students must be present to receive a free backpack filled with school supplies by showing their APS report card (while supplies last).
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center, Building A.
Free shuttle bus transportation will be provided to and from the Bash from the following Atlanta Public Schools starting 8:30 am, 9:30 am,10:30 am and noon:
  • Bethune Elementary (No public parking)
  • Carver High School
  • Douglass High School
  • Grady High School
  • Jackson High School
  • Mays High School
  • South Atlanta High School
  • Sutton Middle (7th/8th Grade Campus)
  • Therrell High School
  • Washington High School
All buses will depart 15 minutes after each arrival. No strollers or infants are permitted on the buses. 
Students requiring mobility arrangements may call 404-802-5500 OR take MARTA to the Dome/GWCC/Phillips Arena/CNN Center Station.
