Changing the Narrative Black Males in Medicine

The purpose of The Dr. James R. Gavin-Young Doctors Legacy Lecture is to bring black male physicians and students together to establish a pipeline of mentorship and address the issue of declining black male medical school applicants.

Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade

Join the St. Patrick's Parade for a day of festivities, music, dance, and more with your family and friends. Volunteer, sign up for the parade with your group, or come out and cheer on the spectacular people whirling and wheeling through the streets. The Parade will travel through Midtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street.

March 18
 
The 6th annual Kids Marathon Atlanta presented by Kool Smiles will take place at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven on Saturday, March 18, 2017. The race kicks off at 9 a.m. To participate, kids kindergarten through eighth grade complete 25 miles, one at a time, during the months prior to the marathon, logging each mile on a log sheet. To finish the full marathon, kids will run the last 1.2 miles on March 18. All participants will receive a Kids Marathon race packet, race number, T-shirt and finisher’s medal. Kids must register in order to participate.
