Good Day Atlanta Viewer Information Story: April 23, 2015

Tribute to Ms. Ann's Snack Bar-She is an Atlanta burger legend, and now FLIP Burger Boutique is honoring the late Ann Price with their new Queen Ann Burger. Miss Ann as she was known, ran Ann's Snack Bar on Memorial Drive, and she did things her way. Her famous "Ghetto Burger" has been recognized nationally. In fact, the Wall Street Journal called it the best burger in America.Miss Ann passed away on Saturday, so FLIP Burger Boutique wanted to do something to honor her. They created their version of her "Ghetto Burger", the Queen Ann. From now through Sunday (4/26) you can order the Queen Ann for $11.00, and 10% from every burger sold will be donated to her family.

Of course I had to go and try it myself, and while no one could ever really replicate Miss Ann's "Ghetto Burger", FLIP has done a great job with this one. Go out and see for yourself, enjoy a tasty burger and help out this family at the same time. It's a win-win.

Vintage Racing Event Takes Over Road Atlanta- STORY:Race fans will take the fast track to memory lane this weekend, thanks to one of the biggest vintage racing events in the country.

The Mitty returns to Braselton's Road Atlanta this weekend, from April 24th through April 26th. The Historic Sportscar Racing-sanctioned event celebrates racing machines from all eras, bringing them back to the track. This year, the spotlight will be on BMW, with many of the maker's classic cars on display -- including the "Batmobile" BMW 3.0 CSL. Along with the cars on the track, attendees can browse a vendor area and car corral.

Stubb's Legendary Bar-B-Q's Rocky Stubblefield (Subb's grandson) joins us for a cooking segment with Buck Lanford. Rocky puts together Chile-rubbed Pork Chops with Mango Salso and also provided great vegetable grilling tips.  For more information click here.

Recipes/grilling tips:

Chile-rubbed Pork Chops with Mango Salsa

4 boneless pork chops

4 teaspoons Stubb's Pork Spice Rub

½ mango, diced

½ medium tomato, diced

¼ cup red onion, diced

2 tablespoons Stubb's Pork Marinade

Cooking Instructions

Lightly coat both sides of each pork chop with Stubb's Pork Spice Rub. Let rest for 15 minutes.

Mix together mango, tomato and red onion. Fold in Stubb's Pork Marinade. Set aside.

Prepare the grill for direct cooking. Cook the chop over direct heat for 4-5 minutes per side (longer if the chop is thicker). Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Top with mango salsa and serve.

Tips for Grilling Veggies:

- Soak vegetables in water for at least 15 minutes (the longer the better) to help keep them from burning.

- Veggies can go directly on the grill or you can put them on foil if you're working with smaller pieces that you're worried might slip through the grates.

- You can also put them in a foil pouch with olive oil and seasonings – I like to use Stubb's Steak Spice Rub for asparagus, yellow squash and zucchini.

- A kebab is another great way to grill your veggies. A wooden skewer should be soaked in water (overnight if possible but for at least15 minutes) to prevent it from burning. You can layer on onions, bell pepper slices, cherry tomatoes, squash – just about anything. Brush them with olive oil, season and throw them on the grill.

- Flip veggies every few minutes using tongs to prevent charring and take them off the grill when they are just tender.

- Grill corn right in its own husk for 15-20 minutes on a covered grill, turning every 5 minutes to keep it from burning. If you've bought corn that is already husked, rub the cob with butter and some Stubb's Bar-B-Q Spice Rub, wrap it in foil and grill for about 20 minutes, turning every couple of minutes to keep it from burning.
