"New" State Historic Site Boasts Amazing History, Scenery" : Well, it's not really "new" -- but the 162-acre Hardman Farm is a new part of Georgia's State Historic Site system. And chances are, you've driven by it before and had no clue what it is!

Hardman Farm is located near Helen, along the Chattahoochee River. It consists of an 1870 house, built by Captain James Nichols, and eventually owned by the family of Lamartine Hardman, who served as Georgia's governor from 1927-1931. Also on the property is a little gazebo sitting atop a Nacoochee Indian Mound, which is an oft-photographed and asked-about landmark in North Georgia.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning exploring Harman Farm State Historic Site, getting a lesson in its history, and some pretty amazing views, too. For more click here.
