'Draft Day' for Students at Cristo Rey High School

It was “draft day” for students at a work study program at Cristo Rey High School in Atlanta.

FOX 5’s Russ Spencer had the honor of serving as the commissioner for the special day.

More than 250 students there, all from low-income families, work one day a week for 65 of north Georgia's best companies including Delta, UPS, Ernst and Young, Coca-Cola and even the mayor's office.

Those companies were matched with the students in the draft ceremony on Friday and they pay for the students' services as a way of covering their tuition.
