The Texas Rangers investigation of a white McKinney police officer's use of force against a black teenage girl in a bikini has been sent to the Collin County District Attorney's office.
A now-famous video shows Eric Casebolt shoving a 15-year-old girl to the ground, restraining her with his knee on her back and later pulling a gun on other two other teenagers nearby.
Casebolt was one of several McKinney officers who responded to a report that a pool party was out of control at Craig Ranch last June. He resigned a few days after the video surfaced.
Casebolt has not been charged, but he does have an attorney who told us investigators have more video that the public has never seen.
“There were a lot of people that were just citizens, some young people even, and some neighbors that were taking video. So you've got different perspectives from that pool area,” said Casebolt attorney Tom Mills.
The Casebolt investigation will likely go to a grand jury to determine if he should face criminal charges.
Mills said he thinks the additional video clips will help his client's case, whether or not the video is made public.
