Two pen pals have finally had the chance to meet after more than 60 years of exchanging letters.
Last Thursday, Masayo Lutz surprised Rosella Sutton in Colorado Springs for her 80th birthday.
"I can't believe it but I'm speechless. More than I could ever dream happened today," said Sutton.
The two spent the evening reading old letters and sharing stories.
They used to exchange letters in the early 50s, back when they were in high school. At that time, Lutz resided in Japan and Sutton in Minnesota.
They wrote to each other about school, love and life from the other side of the world.
Sutton and Lutz kept all the exchanged letters throughout the six decades.
