Georgia assistants Rocker, McClendon given new titles

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia coach Mark Richt has given promotions to assistants Tracy Rocker and Bryan McClendon.

Rocker, the defensive line coach, has been named associate head coach. McClendon, the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator, was named assistant head coach.

Rocker's new title came after his first season at Georgia, following three years as defensive line coach for the NFL Tennessee Titans. Rocker, a former Auburn standout, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004.

McClendon, a former Georgia wide receiver, joined the staff in 2009. He began heading the recruiting efforts last year.
