Georgia's Sales Tax Holiday weekend

It's hard to believe it's that time of year... back-to-school! If you want to save big on your back-to-school purchases, this is a good weekend to do it.

From 8:00 a.m. Friday through 10:00 p.m. Saturday you can buy clothes, computers and school supplies tax free. The Sales Tax Holiday also includes items that aren't back-to-school related.

RESTRICTIONS: While you can get some great deals this weekend, there are some restrictions. See here

TRAFFIC: The Georgia Department of Transportation will suspend all road work this weekend in honor of the sales tax holiday. 

EXTENDED HOURS: Several malls across north Georgia have announced extended hours for the Sales Tax Holiday. 

  • Mall of Georgia in Buford: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday
  • North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday 
  • Calhoun Premium Outlets: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday
  • Town Center in Cobb County: 10:00 a.m. to 10:000 p.m. both Friday and Saturday
