SHOWERS AND STORMS TO KICK OFF THE WEEK...

We're watching a cold front this morning, which is producing showers and storms in southern Illinois and pushing into Kentucky.  That cold front will continue to drop to the south, which means increasing clouds through the first half of the day in North Georgia, and then a chance for showers and storms in the afternoon.  Best chance will be well after noon, likely after 2 p.m. or so.  Widespread severe weather is not expected, but a few storms could hit severe levels with damaging winds -- the Storm Prediction Center puts North Georgia under a marginal risk for severe weather.  The actual front will cross on Tuesday, bringing another chance for some showers and storms in the afternoon.  Highs Monday will climb up to near 90, and we'll be a degree or two cooler on Tuesday.

LESS HUMID BEHIND THE FRONT...

Once the front pushes through, we're looking at a rather pleasant week.  Expect highs in the upper 80s on Wednesday and Thursday, with sunny skies and lower humidity.  Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s on Friday through the weekend, and a chance for some afternoon showers/storms returns for the weekend, although for now that chance is looking pretty low.  Have a great week!
