ATLANTA - Thanksgiving is a time to share ones bounty with neighbors. That spirit was in full swing Wednesday.
They're already known for good food, but the owners of Fox Brothers and Jim and Nick's Barbeque are also known for good deeds.
Those restaurants teamed up with Renewal Design-Build of Decatur to help feed over a thousand people at the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless and the Our House Shelter Wednesday afternoon.
Restaurant supplier Sysco donated the 80 turkeys cooked for the event.
And across town, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and rapper T.I. teamed up to deliver turkeys to 600 Atlanta families.
The city said this year they focused on homes where grandparents are raising their grandchildren.
