Unwind with Karen Graham weekday mornings on Good Day Atlanta. As co-anchor of FOX 5's morning newscast, Karen enjoys sharing in the experiences of Atlanta every morning.
Prior to her role on Good Day, Karen's passion and energy made her stand out as FOX 5's weekend sports anchor and as part of the popular High 5 Sports team. Karen joined FOX 5 in September of 2000 and received an unusual welcome to Atlanta. She was doused with a bottle of champagne during a live television interview with the Atlanta Braves after they won the 2000 division title in NY!
Before coming to FOX 5, Karen served as Weekend Sports Anchor at WSOC in Charlotte, North Carolina for three years. Prior to Charlotte, Karen was a News/Sports Reporter for WTVT-TV in Tampa, Florida. In 1995 the readers of 411 Events and Entertainment News voted her "Tampa Bay's Best Television Newscaster."
Since joining the FOX 5 team, Karen has won 3 Emmy Awards as well as the Monica Kaufman Media Award in 2003. In addition to anchoring Good Day Atlanta, Karen reports for FOX 5's "Wednesday's Child" -- a weekly segment which features children who are waiting in foster care to be adopted, and shares success stories of families who have adopted from foster care.
Karen received her undergraduate degree in Communication from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She then proceeded to sunny Tampa, Florida where she earned her Masters Degree in Mass Communications. Karen is fluent in American Sign Language.
An Atlanta native, Karen enjoys NY Times crossword puzzles, playing tennis, camping, hiking and kicking up her heels when she jazz-dances.
